Wang fired into the top 20 after great last year's performances, but she is not doing so well this year. Her balance is 9/5 on hard but it is without any bigger scalps or tournament success. On clay 4/6 and also without much success. For the last three years she has been quite avoiding the grass surface. With balance 1/3 lost to Gavril , Zheng, Venus Williams and beat only Chang. On other side Davis is in good form this year. she use to be 26th of the world but has fallen into second hundred. I think she can return back this year. She played solidly on clay. Here in this tournament she had to go through the qualifying. The first match struggled with Hibi, but the other matches won easy. She won against Bains and Sharm both in two sets.Only one mutual match between them in 2017 where Davis won 6-3,6-3 on hard surface. I do believe Davis will win tomorrow. GL
