Valenciennes vs Evian prediction (1x2)

Travelling at Laval, Valenciennes took a vital win in their fight against relegation, thanks to a good counterattacking game, scoring 3 goals without conceding. Was a second huge win on the road, after 5-1 against Red Star. They’ve played intelligent, letting Laval to dominate and counterattacking lethal. 3 kind of counters in first half but a single goal. Same in 2nd half, but this time 2 goals, last one due to an easy awarded penalty. What is matter they defended very well and don’t allowed to Laval any clear chances of score during whole game. With this win they have now 5 points more than first relegation spot. A lot of games played against relegation threatened teams in last rounds so this advantage will not be enough without taking some points at home. We know that Valenciennes have a young team, who defend well and counterattacking but this display is working on the road. At home they are quite poor and will be difficult to overcome teams who are coming here to defend and not too lose. Enza-Yamissi and Kabore will miss here, returning too late from NT.

Evian wasn’t able to take a win in another relegation battle against Sochaux. Were a 0-0 in relegated teams from Ligue 1 derby, after a quite poor game. A game with both teams having couple of chances each, with Sochaux being closer to open the score than Evian. Will be difficult for Evian if they will continue with this modest display, but their luck is they are not the single team who play poor in these days of championship. Without a win in last 6 games (but with 4 draws in the process), they have now only 2 points more than 1st relegation spot and also 2 points behind tonite’s opponent. Also they have not so difficult schedule till the end but must increase a lot their play in order to stay in Ligue 2. Keita will be suspended for this trip while important Tedeja is still injured.

Another 6 pointers game between 2 teams who still fight for avoiding relegation. I do think both will be content with a draw, keeping in mind poor results at home for Valenciennes and poor display overall for Evian. Perhaps another 0-0. gl
