Man utd vs Southampton prediction (Over/Under)

Man utd will welcome the saints in what looks set to be an entertaining game. The 1-0 win over Liverpool obviously reduces pressure both on the players and the Manager at Old tradford and today, I very much expect them to claim all 3 points and climb up the table. United have good record at home with a 5-4-1 record. They are the best defence on home turf with just 4 goals conceded at home. They are coming from an important 1-0 win over Liverpool and today, they would look to build on that victory. They still have a lengthy injury list with the likes of Ashley Young in for suggery, Schweinstiger still not fit for this game joining the likes of Phil jones, Valencia, Luke shaw and Michael carrick on the sidelines. The saints are beginning to make the best from their home games as they look to rediscover their old self after the sale of some good players in their squad. The win over West brom made it 3 wins in last 3 at home for the saints with 3 clean sheets while on the road, they are yet to find momentum as they are on a 4 match losing streak on the road. They can only have a hand on their one nil win over united here last season coming into this game. They have a boost in goal machine Charlie Austin who scored 18 goals in the top flight last season with QPR before they were relegated. He joined them this transfer window and is likely going to make his debut here although he may not make the starting 11. Graziano Pelle has also returned to fitness which is a big boost for the side as they look to climb up the table. Of course I expect united to win here but the price on the 3+ goals to be seen in this game caught my interest. With United lacking options at the back and the saints having big boosts up front, who says we can’t see 3 goals here. An open game is what I expect here. The win over Liverpool now gives united a chance to play their game but without a holding midfielder in the team, I think the saints can fancy their chances of getting something as there would be loss of possession often. I expect both teams to score here and either side nicks the winner but I am confident the odds on 3 goals to be seen in this match is just too good to be ignored considering that it ended 2-3 earlier this season at the St. Marys.
