Man city vs PSG prediction (1x2)

Was I really underestimating Man city or perhaps overestimating the french giants in the first leg? the final result today will tell. As it stands, the 2-2 scoreline means that if the two sides play out a goalless draw at the Etihad, then City advance, and even if both teams manage to score one goal apiece, the Premier League club will still progress. City were priced up as favorites to win this game and qualify immediately after the 2-2 draw in the first leg but as it is now, PSG visits England as favorites to win but not progress. An intriguing encounter is expected if we are to go with the layers here. City come into this game after winning 2-1 against west brom and they conceded a goal in the 6th minute of the game still showing the defensive frailty. For team news, Vincent Kompany would not partake here so Otamendi takes his place while yaya toure could also play a part after missing first leg due to injury. PSG are coming from a 2-0 win over Guingamp; a game in which most of their player were rested as the prepare to get it right this time. Not so much to report about their league football as they won the league title almost a month ago so champions league football remains a bigger focus. Needing 2 goals to stand a chance of qualification, PSG fans can be positive of a possible qualification as their team have scored two or more goals in all of their last five Champions League games and Zlatan Ibrahimovic has netted in his past five games in the competition. Matuidi and David Luiz are suspended here while Marco Verratti could return to the lineup after overcoming a groin problem. The onus is surely on PSG to get result which is possibly why they are favorites in this encounter. I don't expect a different approach from city here as they already know that a goaless draw will see them qualify so they would surely surrender possession to PSG and just as in the first leg, hope to hurt them on the break. PSG might be dominant in their league being the best attack and best defence but against city in the first leg, they really showed they were not rock solid at the back so I doubt their ability to keep a clean sheet here. The visitors looked doomed when they conceded the second goal in the first leg knowing they now need to win or score twice to stand a chance so don't be suprised if they lose out here. The 2/1 on city to win is appealing although I struggle to separate these two in this match. In as much as city don't have alot of draws, in their home games in the league, I think that with the fans cheering them on, they would be able to match PSG or even win but for certain, I am not too convinced they can so I will stick with a stalemate.
