Laval vs Valenciennes prediction (1x2)

As anticipated some time ago, Laval became again a draw specialist, having already 14 draws. 7 out of last 8 games ended with this sign which, of course, pleased me enough- hehe. Last draw came on the road, when travelling at Tours they snatched a point in the very last minutes of the game, scoring in 94 mins after a cursive phase on the right. Overall, a game dominated for long period of time by Laval, who deserved more than this draw. Tours had a single shot on goal and another 1-2 chances, while Laval with plenty of chances and shot on goals but most of those saved by Westberg – Tours GK. Only 7 points more than first relegation spot, which is not safe at all, so Laval can’t afford to lose the games. But I hope they can draw at least 5-6 until the end of the season, keeping in mind they will have an easy enough schedule till the end of the season, meeting almost all teams involved in relegation battle. N’Diaye is suspended while Alla remains injured. Good news Chafik is fit and back in squad.

Velenciennes lost totally undeserved their last game, played at home against Brest, after being better team in this encounter. They had a good number of chances to convert but missed all, being betrayed by their inexperience of most of their young players. They dominated Brest, and didn’t allow them to jeopardize the Perquis’ net. But a red card saw by Fulgini and a stupid mistake made by Abdelhamid, who slipped in their penalty box at the goal scored by Brest, made that Valenciennes lose the game. Fulgini will be suspended for this game. Da Costa is back to squad while Slidjia is ill.

Not too much to say. Both in need of points, both will play caution and perhaps we will see another draw for Laval against a team who defend well and have lethal counters. gl
