This is probably the crucial round of the group and much will be clearer today. Krasnodar should not lose this one while Salzburg has no other option but to go far a win. It will be a tall order though as Krasnodar under coach Shalimov is playing great football. Since he took over in september they lost just two matches, both against Schalke. In the league Krasnodar has jumped to fifth with just a point behind Europa places. On home ground Krasnodar has won 6 of the last 8 matches. The only real surprise was the draw against Orenburg. Krasnodar is playing some effective football lately and Nice can contest to that as they were humiliated by 5:2. Salzburg has picked up the pace lately and got closer to the leaders in the league. They are 2 points behind Sturm and ina run of 5 wins in 6. Amon others they won over Rapid and Nice away but the surprise was the loss to Mattersburg away. Salzburg has something to offer in this match but will be heavily influenced by the absences in attack. Salzburg is today without the first two scorers Soriano(11-6) and Lainer(14-4), Prevljak(0-0)and Schwegler(1-0)while also the attacker Hwang and midfielder Rzatowaski are questionable. This is a huge blow and I just don`t see much of the attacking threat from Salzburg today. Krasnodar will not calculate and go for a win today.
