Auxerre vs Clermont prediction (1x2)

Hmmm… another disappointing day for Auxerre. They were totally outplayed by Evian who took their first win in this championship 4-0. After a first half quite leveled, a half where Evian scored 1 goal due to a free kick, came a second half totally dominated by Evian who scored 3 times, taking advantage of the free spaces let by Auxerre in defense in their course of leveling at 1, at least. A deserved defeat for Auxerre, who started the season much below my expectations. We must notice that Auxerre coach Vannuchi were suspended for 5 months so he will not be present on the bench. For this game new signing Seck is suspended. On the other side Clermont is coming after a 1-1 at home against Paris FC. They’ve made a very good game, despite the result. Ok started a bit difficult the game, conceding an unclear, tough, goal in 41min, after a corner kick. Then, 2-3 mins later, they scored also after a corner kick but referee blown something and the goal was disallowed. In 2nd half they pushed a lot, leveled at 1 and if we take in consideration overall evolution, I must say Clermont were much better and fully deserved all 3 points. Anyway good news for them is despite heavy missing in defense compartment Salze, Laporte and Avinel.the team performed quite well, having in striker Diedhiou a letal weapon again. For th is game Laporte is back in team Auxerre is having poor moments while Clermont is undefeated in away games and we know them from previous seasons as a dangerous team when they travel. Will have they enough power to overcome Auxerre? I doubt it but they are more than capable to take a point here. gl
