Utenis vs Zalgiris Kaunas prediction (Over/Under)

Let's look to Utenis team. They are being coached by Cepas. This coach is probably the most disciplined coach in whole league. He can make a good team out of kids or whatever. I mean he makes gold from sh!t. Utenis is stronger this year compared to the last season, but I doubt about their offensive capabilities once again. They are playing defensive minded, disciplined football and this season they didn't bring anything to boost their offense. They did bring in some young ukrainian players, but I can't say anything too much about them. Just keep in mind they were playing in second-tier teams in their countries. Now have a look at Utenis' friendlies record. They lost on road versus Zalgiris Kaunas 1-0 (the same opponent they play in this game), drew on road with Stumbras 1-1, 0-0 with Lietava and won on road versus Daugavpils 0-1. It's obvious that they aren't playing too offensive football. In addition, keep in mind that Utenis team starts season in slow pace most often, so their defense is their backbone which keeps them alive.

Now about Zalgiris Kaunas. I will write way shorter preview, because I am just tired of this writing. This year I see Zalgiris as a 3-4 seed team in this championship. They have wonderful mix of veterans and young guys. Velicka and Dedura are still playing! I was almost sure they will finish career after last season, but they love football too much to quit it. Important thing for Spyris is that they lost their offensive creator Rekish. He was strongest player individually. Now Zalgiris will play something more similar to team based offense and I hope that Bickauskas' (head coach of Zalgiris) words will come true. He said that they will have more attention to defense compared to the last season. What about squad. Zalgiris brought in good center back Fridrikas and good veteran Kalonas (ex best lithuanian player in 2013).

This game is 50-50 to me. Hard to guess the outcome. Main thing I am happy about is that bookies are waiting for 3 or more goals. In my eyes, this game will finish with 2 or even less goals. Good luck!
