Jodran Zimmermann (8-12 with a 6.18 ERA) is scheduled to start for the struggling Detroit Tigers in Thursday's opener of their four-game series against the visiting Minnesota Twins.Zimmermann is obviously far from his best shape this season, as the veteran right-hander has allowed four or more earned runs and lasted less than six innings in fourteen of his previous 27 starts.In addition to that, he's posted an 8.78 ERA in his last five starts against the Twins.Minnesota will count on Adalberto Mejia (4-6 with a 4.62 ERA), who went 2-1 with a 2.54 ERA in his previous six road contests this year.The 24-year-old Dominican was tagged for 3 runs in 2 2/3 innings in his first start against the Tigers (a 4-5 home loss on April 22), but pitched relatively well in his second start versus Detroit, in which he yielded 5 hits and 2 runs (one earned) while walking two and striking out five in 4 1/3 innings of a 6-9 loss at Target Field on July 23.I think that Minnesota Twins will manage to win that game.
