Real madrid's ambition of claiming the title from Barcelona seem to be fading away after they were beaten 4-0 in the el clasico by their rivals. Their initial loss to sevilla before that game did not help the course either as they now find themselves third on the log with Atletico Madrid now second with 29 points 2 points higher than them. Real madrid can't afford any further slip ups if they really look to take full advantage of Barcelona's bad days. They have a 8-3-2 record after 13 games and would certainly look to start making the best out of their upcoming games as they are already qualified for the knock out round in the champions league although they still need their last game to secure the first position in their group. They were enjoying a good run in the league before those two losses which are their only loss in the league this season. They are coming from a 2-0 away win over Eibar and would look to build on that victory here. Varane, Ramos and Marcelo are out injured here which is a real blow to the backline of the team as they are all starters although I am confident Pepe and Nacho would be good enough for any threat Getafe would pose today going forward. Getafe could have seen themselves in the drop zone if they had not been very judicious in their home games where they have gotten most of their points. Although they have not fully escaped as they are 4 points off Malaga who are 18th with 10 points. They have been very poor on their travels as well without a win in their last 10 away games losing 9 of those dating back to last season. This is something they really need to improve on if they want to avoid the drop this season. Alvaro Medran is their only player injured for this encounter. Real have a good head to head record over Getafe with 9 wins in their last 10 meetings including a 7-3,3-0,3-0,4-1,4-0 wins over them in the last 5 meeting which made the layers to price a home win so low here. I expect madrid to win their familiar opponents here in style by 3+ goal margin as has been the case in recent meetings. I would be suprise if I see just a 2 goal margin although we would get a half void if it happens. GL!
