Auxerre vs Sochaux prediction (1x2)

Auxerre – Sochaux Auxerre is continuing their improvement after being knocked out from French Cup few rounds ago. They are unbeaten in last 3 games, despite playing away at top team Metz and Dijon, took 4 points from these two trips. And with another 3 points at home in front of Creteil, the team collect 25 points in total, being now closer top 3. In last trip they held the leader Dijon to a goalless draw, playing very good defensive and putting some problems in attack to Dijon. If I remember correctly I saw only a shoot on goal for Dijon and 2/3 for Auxerre, but none to create great panic in adverse defense. So was an equitable draw in this local derby. At home they played some good football but also lot of problems against the team with good defense and good counterattacks. Sochaux is coming after a double meeting against top team Nancy, finishing draw both games. First of all, 2 week ago playing in championship they come back from behind twice finishing 2-2 after one of the best football game they’ve made in this season. Is true they leveled at 2 from an easy awarded penalty with few minutes to go, but this point was more than deserved. Then few days later, on same pitch, they finished the game 0-0 but this time, with some rotation in the squad, we saw a boring game with Sochaux being a bit dangerous than their opponent. Sochaux won eventually after extra-time thanks to an own goal scored by Nancy striker M Dale. In championship they proved to be one of the worst team on the road this season, wining once against rock bottom Nimes. They under-performed big so far and the position from the table (17th spot with 2 points more than first relegation place) says a lot about their performance. Both teams have played some good football in last weeks. Perhaps we will not see a spectacular game with many goals in it and really is difficult to pick a team to win here, so the draw is my choice. gl
