Russia vs Egypt prediction (1x2)

Russia played very poorly in the friendlies before the tournament but in the opening game they showed urgency, aggressiveness and a bit of class. It is true that Saudi Arabia were scared and worthless but Russia managed to convince me they will not take prisoners if the enemy is weak and Egypt are not a strong team. Egypt will be a challenge today and will try to take a point mainly because they are desperate for anything but I do not believe they can scratch a living against a motivated Russian team. Salah is not yet recovered and is a bit out of form and Egypt have no other hope for a goal against a good European team that becomes superior due to home advantage. Egypt lost by a single goal to Uruguay only because Suarez played horrendously throughout the match, missed three clear cut goal chances and did everything the wrong way in this match. A victory for Russia will probably mean first place in the group due to the convincing first match result and the probable draw with Uruguay in the third match. A draw is not impossible today but Egypt must play way beyond average to claim a point and I do not believe they have the players to do that. The secure bet is 1DNB but I am in the mood to take chances when my chosen team hosts the tournament.
