Key to that has been the form of Radamel Falcao, who in his second spell at the club is now back to his best. The Colombian striker has 16 goals to his name in 2016/17 and has been one of the main reasons why his side are in with a chance of lifting silverware. Heavy favourites for this match, they may have one eye on this month’s Champions League round of 16 tie with Manchester City. The first leg did not go well, with Pep Guardiola’s side putting 5 past them. They scored 3 goals of their own however to set up an intriguing second leg game. Nantes meanwhile have been in indifferent form of late but seem likely to finish in mid-table obscurity, having only lost 2 games in 2017. Goals have been a problem for the side as they have only managed 24 in their 27 games. Being 7 points above the relegation zone with 11 matches to play suggests they will not be sucked towards the drop zone in the coming weeks however.
