Mansfield Town vs Accrington Stanley prediction (1x2)

Mansfield Town hosts Accrington Stanley in round 31 of the League Two. The home side is a clear favorite in this one with all things considered and I fancy them to take the 3 points today. Mansfield was promoted to League Two 4 years ago and was never in contention for promotion. Their place was in the middle or fighting against relegation. Regulary they were under Accrington Stanley. This season Mansfield has shown a much better game and especially with the start of the year. Their run has been amazing and it has propeled them to the play-off positions. Mansfield has tightened defensively and has not conceded a goal in 270 minutes. They actually conceded just one goal in the last 7 league matches. They won 6 of those matches beating the likes of: Blackpool, Cambridge, Hartelpool, Crewe, Leyton Orient. They actually played the same against stronger and weaker opposition. The visitors sit on 21`st place on the table with 29 points and are just 3 above the relegation places. A good thing for them is that they played two games less so still have some breathing space. This has not been their season and especially looking at their previous season when they finished 4`th. Accrington last year was a real force on their travels but are not a shadow of that team this year. Accrington has 3-3-8 away from home and 8:18 goal difference. They have struggled hard to show a decent performance on the travels and the attack has been especially weak. Accrington has scored 1 single goal in the last 8 away matches and at the turn of the year things haven`t changed much. Even lowly Leyton Orient and Cheltenham managed to beat them without conceding. For this game Mansfield will miss the defender Taft(6-0). They can field the same 11 that thrashed Hartlepool 4:0 at the weekend. Accrington is without the attacker Gornell(16-2). The h2h is the only good thing Accrington can hold on to. They have beaten Mansfield on the last 4 visits but things have changed somewhat this year. I don`t like betting on lower English leagues as they are very unpredictable but this one is too tempting. I like the home win here.
